By comparison, 813,000<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">Conservative voters in Alberta alone were able to elect 27 MPs.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font: 12.0px Arial\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">&#8211;<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">Prairie Liberals and New Democrats: In the prairie provinces, Conservatives<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">received roughly twice the vote of the Liberals and NDP, but took seven times<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">as many seats.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font: 12.0px Arial\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">&#8211;<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">Urban Conservatives: Similar to the last election, a quarter-million<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">Conservative voters in Toronto elected no one and neither did Conservative<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">voters in Montreal.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font: 12.0px Arial\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">&#8211;<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">New Democrats: The NDP attracted 1.1 million more votes than the Bloc, but<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #CC0000;\">the voting system gave the Bloc 50 seats, the NDP 37.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 10.0px Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Perhaps seeing these figures will inspire Canadians to reexamine how we elect our representatives to Parliament.
