{"id":381,"date":"2009-03-10T14:59:36","date_gmt":"2009-03-10T14:59:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paulwmartin.ca\/blog\/?p=381"},"modified":"2011-07-29T16:02:07","modified_gmt":"2011-07-29T16:02:07","slug":"welcome-to-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.paulwmartin.ca\/blog\/?p=381","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Had a wonderful few days in Edmonton where I was giving a paper at the &#8220;Transplanting Canada&#8221; colloquium put on by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.ualberta.ca\/clc\/\">Canadian Literature Centre<\/a> at the University of Alberta. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.ualberta.ca\/clc\/files\/Colloquium-Program.pdf\">Click here<\/a> for a PDF of the conference program if you&#8217;re interested to learn more about what went on there.<\/p>\n<p>It was really great to see such exciting things happening at the U of A these days. There are many new young faculty there and a herd of super-smart graduate students (they travel in herds on the prairies).
